Introduction:
This'll be the day we've waited for! This'll be the day we open up the door!

Welcome to RWBY: Grimm Eclipse, a third-person hack and slash based on the popular series RWBY; a show about 4 schoolgirls, Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang, who are training to become huntresses in order to protect the world from the Grimm. The game can be rather lacking in terms of context and you are more likely to understand it after watching the RWBY anime. Despite the lack of story depth the game provides an exciting experience with colourful combat and plenty of jolly co-operation.

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
The game features two game modes: The main story and a horde mode. The achievements are split across these two modes and while most of them can be done solo, you will need to be online to access Horde mode and some achievements require 4 people. To this end it is much easier if you have 4 people in your group to save convincing random players to help you.

You'll want to start by completing the 10 chapter campaign with any character to unlock all chapters. At this point you'll want to complete the final chapter with every other character and once solo. Then you'll want to focus on the Horde mode achievements which require you to be online.

Multiplayer:
Most achievements while easier with friends can be done solo, however some require you to perform actions with 2 or 4 characters. There are only 10 however so this shouldn't take too much time.

Mop-Up:
After the story and Horde modes have been completed you will be left with up to 21 miscellaneous achievements to acquire at your leisure. Level select is available to work through, and you'll want to finish by obtaining the " Beacon Graduate " achievement.

DLC: Team JNPR

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
With 3 new characters the DLC will only take a few hours to complete. Entering a game with two team setups and completing the final chapter with every DLC character will get you every achievement.

Conclusion:
RWBY: GE, while short and slightly repetitive, is still an enjoyable experience for the price tag. You'll find most of the achievements come through natural playthrough and the rest will only serve to push the game a little bit further. Good luck, and happy hunting!

Complete Mountain Glenn Part 2 with 3:00 minutes or more left on the clock.

During chapter 4 'Below the surface,' you will be tasked with powering a bomb with dust crystals located around the map. These crystals will spawn in the areas where the bomb currently is, giving you 2-3 possible pickup points each time the spawns change. There will be Grimm for you to fight however these cannot stop the bomb or make a difference, so just ignore them.

Play in an online match with all four team RWBY members present.

Enter an online match with 3 other people, and have each person pick one of Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang. Once everyone has pressed start and entered the game the achievement will unlock.
Complete the campaign in single player.

To unlock this achievement, you must complete the final chapter 'Final Exam' in solo. Once you have defeated the boss at the end of the level the achievement will unlock. For a method on how to beat the boss keep reading if you don't mind spoilers:

The Mutated Deathstalker has 3 types of attacks: An area of effect smash attack, a projectile attack, and a direct attack with its tail. It will only perform an attacks if you are in its line of sight and not too far away. You must make it perform the first two types of attack and dodge these, and await the third in which you can hit its tail for decent damage.

Throughout the fight it will spawn multiple enemies. The white and red robots when they appear will spawn infinitely, so just ignore them.

The best character to use is a level 10 Blake with the 'Stun blades' ability, which you can use to stop the robots while you focus on the Deathstalker.

If your aura is depleted, simply jump and dash around the edges of the arena until it recovers. Once you've defeated the Deathstalker the achievement will unlock.
Reach 100 hits on the combo counter.

During the end of chapter 3 'The collapse' you will have to fight a giant Ursa with a very large health pool. Choose either Ruby or Blake and stand at a distance while shooting with . The counter will appear in the bottom right of the screen next to your character icon. Keep shooting even after it reaches 100 and eventually the achievement will unlock.
Revive a teammate after purchasing Quick Revive.

Quick revive is a general ability which is unlocked after reviving a teammate 5 times. It costs one skill point to unlock. Unlock it, revive a team mate, and your achievement will unlock.
Get Wave MVP five times in a waved encounter.

During waved encounters in multiplayer matches, the characters who earns the most points (through kills, assists, etc.) will earn an MVP award. This award will appear on the screen at the end of the round. The first 5 wave encounter occurs in chapter 3 'The collapse' when in the collapsed waterway. Go in with a friend, have them kill next to nothing each round, and your achievement will unlock.
Get four flawless waves in a waved encounter.

During waved encounters where you protect a point, a flawless wave is when no enemies manage to damage the point. You will know if you have achieved one if you get a bonus at the end of the round saying 'Flawless wave'. This is best done with a level 10 Blake and her 'Stun blades' ability on chapter 2 'Technical difficulties'. During the protection mission at the end of the level stand in the furthest most corner from where you came in. Most enemies will spawn next to you with some spawning to the left. Hit the far away enemies with your stun blades, this will aggro them and they fill fight you and leave the point alone. Do this for each round and your achievement will unlock.
Complete the campaign using Ruby

Defeating the final boss in chapter 10 'Final Exam' with Ruby will unlock this achievement. Refer to " Going Solo " for a guide on beating the final boss.
Complete the campaign using Blake

Defeating the final boss in chapter 10 'Final Exam' with Blake will unlock this achievement. Refer to " Going Solo " for a guide on beating the final boss.
Complete the campaign using Weiss

Collect 10 artifacts during a single play session.

Artifacts are collectibles found across chapters. There are normally 4-5 per chapter and are not very difficult to find. You'll want to look for these as they offer a 100XP bonus for each one picked up and are helpful in leveling up your character.

You must find 10 of these in one session (without closing the game or leaving the lobby) to unlock this achievement. You may have to collect more than 10 as this achievement can be slightly buggy, but the artifacts reset so you can play through the chapters again if needed.

Kill a Mutant Beowolf while your Aura is depleted.

Mutant Beowolfs are the large green enemies which you will first encounter at the end of chapter 5 'Right on Track'. Shoot the enemy to build up your ultimate, then slowly bring the beasts health down as low as you can. Allow it to hit you until you aura is depleted, then use your ultimate to finish it off, unlocking the achievement.
Complete any level without taking damage.

Glitched

This achievement unlocks out of nowhere at the end of a chapter regardless of whether you took damage or not. If this gets patched, play the first chapter with a friend and stand well away from fights, or only shoot enemies to give you a fair distance from them.
Reach rank 10 with any character.
Ranking is the games prestige feature, with each rank requiring you to complete a certain challenge. Ranking up will reset all of your characters levels and challenge progress. The requirements for each rank are:

This is the most time consuming achievement however there is an exploit which allows you to complete it in around 30 minutes. Complete the rank 0 challenge by getting every character to level 10. Now:

Your game will load your cloud save, and while your achievement progress will go up 10%, the option to rank up will remain. Do this 10 times and the achievement will unlock.
Kill 10 enemies with a single Ultimate attack

The most powerful ultimate out of the main 4 is Ruby's fully upgraded. Start chapter 2 'Technical difficulties' on Eclipse difficulty. Once you reach the waved encounter with the large gear 10-15 small Grimm will spawn. Shoot these Grimm to weaken them, then surround yourself with them and activate your ultimate.
Refund all of your Ability Points

Before you start a mission if you have selected a character you have spent at least 1 skill point on, you will be given the option to 'Refund ability points.' This will remove your abilities and give you your skill points to redistribute. This can be done as many times as you like. Once you have selected the option your achievement will unlock.
Get the highest score in a four player online match on a single level.

In multiplayer game, score is calculated based on the experience you gain during battles. You must have the highest score out of 4 players in a game to unlock this achievement.
Get an assist on a Mutant Beowolf

Your first encounter with a Mutant Beowolf is at the end of chapter 5 'Right on track'. To get an assist you must attack the beast just before it dies, but not deal the finishing blow. Play the chapter with a friend, get the beast as low as possible. Shoot it, and have your friend use his ultimate to get the assist for the kill, unlocking the achievement.
Do a Team Attack with Ruby and Yang

Refer to " Team Player " for information on how to perform a team attack. Have you and a friend play one of Ruby and Yang each. Set up a team attack for your friend or vice versa, and once the attack has been completed you will both unlock the achievement.
In a four player online game, each player deposits at least one dust crystal.

During chapter 4 'Below the surface' you will be asked to escort a bomb by powering it with dust crystals. 4 different people must pick up and deposit a piece of dust to unlock the achievement.
Complete any level by only using ranged attacks.

Glitched

This achievement unlocks out of nowhere at the end of a chapter regardless of whether you used melee attacks. If it gets patched, play Weiss/Blake who have some of the best ranged attacks, and only use them for the whole chapter.
Kill 35 enemies with turrets during a single horde match.

Turrets are purchased in Horde mode with Lien, which is earned by defeating enemies, finishing rounds, destroying green chests, and getting flawless rounds. The kills can be cumulative across all turrets in a match so just set up as many as you can and let them kill Grimm whenever possible.
Beat any horde map without building a turret.

This is easiest done on the 'Emerald forest' map as you only have to defend two stations at a time. The best character to use is Blake with the 'Stun blades' ability as it can relieve some of the stress when most enemies are stunned.

Have 10 active turrets at once during a horde match.

The map with the most lien lying around is 'Mountain Glenn'. It is easiest to do this with a friend as the stations are grouped into two close pairs. The cheapest turrets are machine guns which cost 3500 Lien. You can buy turrets as you progress and be careful with them, or save up 35000 Lien between all players and buy them all at once.
Win any Horde map with all security nodes at 85% health.

You can either do this with two players on the Horde map 'Emerald forest' with two level 10 Blakes with 'Stun blades' with each person defending one station at a time. Below is a solo guide:

For waves 1-3 fight away from the station so it doesn't accidentally get hit and when you see an enemy running towards the station use Stun blades to aggro them on you. You'll want to get three flawless waves to get the maximum Lien.

For waves 4-6, place either two machines guns or a machine gun and a shotgun (whichever you can afford, if you can't restart) on station 2 close to each other. Defend station 3 by drawing enemies away from the station and fighting them on the hill, and trying to draw enemies from station 2 by shooting them.

For waves 7-10, place two shotguns or a shotgun and a machine gun (whichever you can afford) on station 4 and defend station 5. Employ the same tactics as waves 4-6, buying any extra turrets you can afford where they're needed.

Collect a total of 20,000 Lien during any Horde match.

The Lien you collect throughout a Horde match does not need to be held all at once. You can spend it on turrets as long as you have 20,000 Lien throughout the match. This is inevitable if you complete a Horde match, so refer to " Horde Master " for a Horde mode guide.

Do Blake's taunt right after killing the Mutant Deathstalker

During the final chapter 'Final Exam' play as Blake. The second the Deathstalker dies start mashing down on the D-pad to taunt, keep doing this until the achievement unlocks.
Collect the artifact at the end of the jumping puzzle in Forever Fall.

During the start of chapter 5 'Right on Track' when you find a key and are asked to open a door, choose the door on the right. Go down this pathway until you see 4 pillars stacked next to each other. Jump across these pillars and grab the artifact on the other side to unlock the achievement.
